MIKHAILOV ALEXEY

Born in Petersburg (Leningrad) in 1951. As a child studied drawing in "Leningrad Hermitage" class. After secondary school entered the
Polytechnic Institute, but left it and went to study medicine in the First Leningrad Institute, from which graduated with distinction. Worked more
than 10 years in a large Leningrad medical hospital first as an oncological surgeon, then as a head of the department. Holds a Ph.D. After emigration
to Israel in 1990 he
practiced surgery a long time in a large Israel University hospital. Later became addicted to alcohol. Had several unsuccessful attempts to give up the
addiction in rehalibitation centers. For long periods was homeless, and nearly died. Finally, he found himself in art. Now he deals with the
gallery´s business relations and collects paintings. He is an active member of Alcoholics
Anonymous World movement. "It´s not important whether to do...or not to do
something". It is important to feel at peace, to enjoy every day and every
minute. As Pascal said:"we are moved by the hunt rather then by a
quarry"."
